Tidal Drift Consultants Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through tidaldrift.co.uk. We are registered in England & Wales. Our ICO registration number is ICO:00014589202. You can contact us about your data at enquiries@tidaldrift.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), project location (optional), project type (optional), and your message. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects pseudonymous usage data such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site usage (such as page views and referrers). It is privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and measures only aggregate trends — so it needs no consent and runs for all visitors.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the details you send through the contact form solely to respond to and discuss your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests (responding to a request you initiated) and, where relevant, taking steps prior to entering a contract. Analytics is processed only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers who process data on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, contact-form processing, Turnstile anti-spam protection, and cookieless Web Analytics.
  • Resend — delivery of your enquiry to us by email.
  • Google — Analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these providers are located outside the UK (for example, in the US). Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK–US Data Bridge and/or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

Analytics cookies load only if you choose "Accept". You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using (also in the footer of every page).

Retention

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@tidaldrift.co.uk.
