Tidal Drift builds premium bespoke construction projects across Sussex, working closely with architects, designers, and self-builders.
We work alongside your architect and design team, not instead of them. Brought in early, we work through detailing, buildability and structural challenges so the intent on the drawings survives contact with the site. Technical carpentry, timber frame and bespoke joinery sit at the centre of what we do, combined with the creative engineering to make ambitious, technically demanding builds work.

Creative engineering, built on technical carpentry
Technical carpentry is the core of Tidal Drift: timber frame, structural carpentry and bespoke joinery, kept in-house rather than subcontracted. On top of that sits creative engineering. Julian's background in film and illustration brings detail-focused problem-solving to ambitious builds. When a structural constraint looks immovable, we work it through with engineers and architects to find a solution that stays true to the client's vision.
Collaborative construction, not traditional contracting
Bring us in at the design stage and you see the real value of Tidal Drift. We collaborate closely with architects, designers and homeowners from concept through completion, early enough to influence detailing, constructability and project delivery. Clear communication, technical understanding and collaborative site management help ambitious projects move from design into reality.
